Ukraine received a ninth macro-financial assistance tranche of EUR 1.5 billion from the European Union. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal of Ukraine broke the news via Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Ukraine received a ninth macro-financial assistance tranche of EUR 1.5 billion from the European Union," the statement reads.
According to him, in general, the EU budgetary support for Ukraine in 2023 has already amounted to EUR 15 billion.
He stressed that "it is one of the most important factors that helps Ukraine remain economically strong and stable."
"We are now working with the European Commission on a new long-term Ukraine Facility Program worth EUR 50 billion. We expect to get EUR 18 billion next year," the prime minister added.
Shmyhal expressed gratitude to Ukraine’s European partners for their ironclad solidarity with Ukraine.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shmyhal said that, under various programs, international partners provided more than EUR 4 billion for Ukrainian enterprises.
