The Roads Department has announced a tender for the rehabilitation of a 10-kilometer section (km 37–km 46) of the Mtskheta–Stepantsminda–Larsi international highway. The segment begins at the Arkhala River bridge. The estimated cost of the project is GEL 29.7 million.
This section of the road is considered strategically important, serving three municipalities, Mtskheta, Dusheti, and Kazbegi and functioning as one of Georgia’s key transit corridors. It also plays a critical role in supporting tourism flows along the route.
Interested companies will be able to submit bids starting 25 February, with the application deadline set for 2 March, according to the tender conditions.
The project is part of a broader plan to upgrade the km 37–km 56 section of the Mtskheta–Stepantsminda–Larsi highway, stretching from the Arkhala bridge to the Khandos Valley bridge.
