US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan says that the death of the cameraman is a shocking fact and she notes, that violence in any form is inadmissible, it is inadmissible to prevent people from exercising their constitutional rights.

"I want to mention how sad we are about the death of Alexander Lashkarava. It was a real tragedy and shocking for everyone. Our condolences to the family of the deceased and to his friends, colleagues and journalists who worked with him. It was shocking. Violence in any form is unacceptable. This is simply unacceptable, but specifically when it aims to prevent people from exercising their constitutionally guaranteed rights. The commitment to stop violence is fundamental," Kelly Degnan said.

According to Kelly Degnan, everyone knows who is paying for this kind of pro-Kremlin disinformation, and people who want to encourage violence, create instability in Georgia, are doing the Kremlin's job.

“Georgian citizens must decide who should be in power. We want to see a democratic process, not violence in the streets," said Kelly Degnan.
