The volume of loans issued by commercial banks (excluding interbank loans) in November 2024 increased by 523.11 million GEL or by 0.87% compared to the previous month (exchange rate effect excluded, increased by 0.74%) and constituted 60.59 billion GEL by the end of November 2024, - according to the report published by the National Bank of Georgia (NBG).
As of the document, the volume of loans in national currency increased by 590.22 million GEL (1.73%) and the volume of loans in foreign currency decreased by 67.11 million GEL or by 0.26% in the same period (exchange rate effect excluded, decreased by 0.56%).
By the end of November 2024, the total volume of national currency denominated loans to resident legal entities issued by commercial banks amounted to 10.53 billion GEL (1.47% more compared to the previous month), and foreign currency denominated loans constituted 16.90 billion GEL (0.63% less; exchange rate effect excluded volume of lending in foreign currency decreased by 0.97 %).
During November 2024, the volume of lending to resident household sector increased by 1.28% or 393.80 milion GEL, and constituted 31.25 billion GEL by the end of November 2024.
Larization ratio for total loans constituted 57.22% by the end of November 2024 and increased by 0.484 percentage point (exchange rate effect excluded, increased by 0.56 percentage point), compared to the end of October 2024.
