We Are Not Considering EU Path Change – Kobakhidze

ირაკლი კობახიძე

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that the government is not discussing a possible EU path change. “European integration is enshrined in our Constitution and is a constitutional task of our government,” he said.

Commenting on upcoming debates on Rustavi 2, Kobakhidze emphasized that the discussions will not question constitutional commitments. He warned against misinformation and exaggerated claims regarding EU membership and its economic impact, noting that manipulation of public expectations is harmful.

“Debates should clarify what is true and false about economic growth, EU integration, and its potential pros and cons. Excessive expectations should not be created,” the Prime Minister added, stressing that discussion is useful for public understanding.
