The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili declares, that Georgia is considering its electricity exports to the EU market.
"Georgia considers the export of its energy to the European Union market in the future. One of the flagship projects that we have in terms of association with the European Union is the Black Sea submarine connecting energy cable. The project is of regional importance", said Levan Davitashvili.
According to the minister, Georgia thinks to export renewable energy from Azerbaijan, although now Azerbaijan is also at the initial stage in terms of the production of renewable energies.
"Although we have a very important cooperation in the export of hydrocarbons and petroleum products, we think the potential is even greater. We are working closely with the government of Azerbaijan in this direction on joint projects," the minister said.
