The General Director of "Gorgia" states that the logistics costs of the company have grown. As Tornike Guruli notes with BMG, the prices have not yet increased, but the company will have to adjust product prices.
"The exchange rate has changed, logistics costs have increased. Through negotiations with suppliers, we are trying to maintain prices. If the exchange rate increases sharply, we will be forced to adjust the prices," Tornike Guruli says.
According to Tornike Guruli, sales increased by 20% between January and June. The main supplier is Turkey.
"We produce less materials in Georgia. It is mainly imported from abroad. The main supplier is Turkey, followed by China. India has become more active as a tile manufacturer country. We also import from Central Europe. As for sales, we expect it to increase. If we look at Tbilisi, Batumi and the regions, construction is actively underway. This means that customers will need repair products in the future as well. The demand will increase by 20%," Tornike Guruli said.
According to Galt&Taggart, the revenue of the repair materials sector has grown to USD 2 billion in 6 years. Imports of materials are increasing more than local production.
