I would like to congratulate the European Union for the work it has done to support Georgia in the process of enlargement - the European Union has implemented very important activities and worked very hard to make this happen, the US Ambassador to Georgia Robin Dunnigan said in a speech at the Orbeliani Palace.

According to him, the United States of America, together with the European Union, the President, the Government and people, will continue to work in order to reveal the full potential of the people of Georgia.

"Thank you very much, President, thank you very much, Ambassador, Georgia. The United States of America truly sends its most sincere and warm greetings to every citizen of Georgia. This achievement is really important. We welcome the decision of the European Commission on the status of Georgia, we celebrate with you this important step taken in the direction of the European Union and Euro-Atlantic integration.

I would like to congratulate the European Union for the work done to support Georgia in the process of enlargement. The EU has done very important job and has worked very hard to make this happen. I would like to emphasize that the United States of America, together with the European Union, the President and the government, continues to work with people to reveal the full potential of the people of Georgia during its membership in the European Union.

The President spoke about those Georgians who made sacrifices for the state. Today is Veterans Day in the United States, when we honor our soldiers. Georgian soldiers also sacrificed in the missions of the United States, and I thank Georgia for that.

The President also spoke about shared history and shared values. We are also talking about a shared future. We love Georgia and the European Union, so we must have a united future. This is a great day for everyone, for us, for the transatlantic community," the Ambassador noted.
