What Assets Does Tbilisi Deputy Mayor Andria Basilaya Own?

Tbilisi’s Deputy Mayor, Andria Basilaia, has submitted his 2025 asset declaration, which shows that he owns a land plot in Tabakhmela, savings in cash, and a 50% stake in a private company. Notably, the declaration does not list any apartments or vehicles under his or his family’s name.

According to the declaration, Basilaia has two minor children. In 2025, his expenses for their education amounted to 9,500 GEL.

In 2025, Andria Basilaia received 86,801 GEL in salary for his position as Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi.

His key assets include:

  • Land plot in Tabakhmela – 604 sq.m., co-owned with Vitalie Papaite-Basilaia, purchased in 2023 for 297,569 GEL.
  • Cash savings – 30,000 GEL.
  • 50% ownership in MD Service LLC, a company engaged in the purchase, sale, and brokerage of movable property (co-owned with Giorgi Asatiani).

Basilaia is also listed as a co-borrower for two loans:

  • A €23,000 loan taken in 2017
  • A €45,000 loan taken in 2019

In 2025, his total loan servicing expenses amounted to nearly €10,000.

Andria Basilaia is an economist by profession and has served as Tbilisi’s Deputy Mayor since 2020. His previous experience includes:
