Geka Geladze, who stepped down as head of Georgia’s State Security Service (SSSG) on September 14, filed his latest asset declaration in April 2026, covering his income and assets for 2025. According to the declaration, most of the family’s property is registered in the name of his wife, Natia Elizbarashvili.
In 2025, Geladze earned GEL 80,553 as SSSG chief from May 28 to December 31. Earlier, he received GEL 21,138 as deputy head of the SSSG and GEL 27,322 as deputy defense minister. Elizbarashvili owns a 175 sq. m apartment on Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue, purchased for $182,350 in 2012, along with two garages bought for $10,000 each. She also owns a 60 sq. m apartment and 9 sq. m non-residential space on the same avenue, transferred by gift in 2007.
The family also owns three apartments in Bakuriani, with a combined purchase price of GEL 165,820, as well as an 817 sq. m plot in Kojori with a 403 sq. m building. Geladze owns a 1,468 sq. m residential property in Tbilisi’s Betania settlement, a 50% share in a 7,350 sq. m plot in Akhmeta Municipality, and a 50% share in a 94 sq. m plot in Tbilisi jointly with his wife. He owns a 2013 Toyota L200 purchased for $70,000, while his wife owns a 2019 Mercedes-Benz bought for €105,000.
Geladze also has a GEL 180,000 mortgage loan from TBC Bank, issued for 2024–2034, and paid GEL 30,302 toward it in 2025. During the year, Elizbarashvili sold a 234 sq. m commercial property and garage on Chavchavadze Avenue for $400,000 and signed several preliminary purchase agreements, including a $400,000 apartment deal with Gumbati Holding and properties worth $242,041 with M2 Group. The family also has a $150,000 hotel-room purchase agreement with Orbi Group Tbilisi. In 2025, GEL 10,985 and €10,985 were spent on their daughter Elene Geladze’s studies at the University of Exeter, while another child’s tuition at the European School cost €7,000 annually.
