The Georgian government, ministries and state organizations purchase fuel based on a consolidated tender. According to the National Agency for State Procurement, the annual amounts paid for this procurement exceed 167 million GEL for gasoline and 122 million GEL for diesel fuel.
According to the report, the Ministry of Defense consumed the largest amount of fuel last year - 21 million GEL.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has not provided information to the budget monitor. As for other agencies, their fuel expenditures are as follows for 2024:
Ministry of Foreign Affairs - 1.8 million GEL;
Ministry of Environment and Agriculture - 1.6 million GEL;
Parliamentary Staff - 752 thousand GEL;
Ministry of Education and Science - 417 thousand GEL;
Ministry of Justice - 332 thousand GEL;
Ministry of Finance - 280 thousand GEL;
Ministry of Economy - 193 thousand GEL;
Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth - 162 thousand GEL.
