Most of the private companies in Georgia receive electricity from Telasi or Energo-Pro Georgia, but over 20 large companies have the status of "direct customers" and they receive electricity by bypassing Telasi or Energo-Pro Georgia.
The report of the state company ESCO reads, that Georgian Manganese consumes the most electricity, which has amounted to 491.4 million kilowatt hours in 5 months 2021. Georgian Manganese’s consumption totals to 8.8% of Georgia's total consumption during this period.
Other metallurgical plants, like Georgian Manganese, were added to the list of largest consumers. The list also includes companies engaged in the production of cryptocurrencies.

9. “GeosSteel "- 39.9 million kWh;
10. "RMG Cooper" - 31.1 million kWh;
Total volume of the consumed electricity in the first 5 months of 2021 has amounted to 5.58 billion kilowatt hours, which is 7.4% more compared to 2020. Such an increase in electricity consumption indicates the economic recovery in the country.
