Which Companies Consume The Most Electricity In Georgia?

Electricity consumption is growing in Georgia. The country consumed 11.2 billion kWh in total in 10M2021, which is 13% more compared to 2020. Electricity consumption is increased due to the rapid economic recovery in the country.

According to the statistics, Georgian Manganese and its subsidiary Zestaponi Ferroalloy Plant consumed the most electricity, which amounted to 1.05 billion kWh in 5M2021. Georgian Manganese’s electricity consumption totals to 9.3% of Georgia's total consumption during this period.

Other metallurgical plants, like Georgian Manganese, were added to the list of largest consumers. The list also includes companies engaged in the production of cryptocurrencies.

9. GTM Group - 88.6 million kWh;
10. Russelloys - 64.6 million kWh;
11. RMG Copper - 60.5 million kWh;
12. GeoMaintenance - 56.1 million kWh;
13. Georgian Railway - 48.9 million kWh;
14. United Water Supply Company of Georgia - 41.4 million kWh;
15. IT Lab - 35.3 million kWh;
16. Georgian Amelioration - 20.6 million kWh;
