“Within the framework of the visit to China, several high-level meetings will be held, including with the Premier of the People’s Republic of China,” Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, stated.
As Mariam Kvrivishvili observed, a significant visit to China would take place under the Prime Minister’s leadership.
“Within the framework of the visit, several high-level meetings will be held, including with the Premier of the People’s Republic of China. New and important bilateral agreements will be signed, within the framework of which both trade and economic relations, as well as people-to-people ties between our two countries, will be strengthened.
At the same time, it is particularly significant that for the first time, Georgia will be represented with guest of honour status at China’s largest international import exhibition. Up to 40 Georgian companies will travel to China with us, and they will have the opportunity to promote products made in Georgia within the framework of the international exhibition.
A most important task for us is to ensure the export of Georgian products, and we will use this platform to see even more Georgian products on the Chinese market,” Mariam Kvrivishvili stated.
For context, GD Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will pay a visit to Shanghai at the invitation of the Premier of the People’s Republic of China, Li Qiang. According to the government, Irakli Kobakhidze will meet with the Chinese Premier during the visit. Irakli Kobakhidze’s delegation includes Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Bochorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Davit Songulashvili, Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, President of the National Bank Natia Turnava, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
