Union of Georgian Airports declares that in January-February 2025, the Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air served 212,114 thousand passengers. The number of passengers decreased by 11% year-on-year.

In January-February last year, the airline also operated flights to Madrid and Hamburg, which are currently suspended. As the Union of Airports notes, the airline will resume flights to Hamburg from April 15, while to Madrid from April 29. The likely reason for the decrease in passengers was the suspension of these directions.

The Hungarian airline has been the leader of the Georgian aviation market for several years now. In 2024, Wizz Air served more than 1.2 million passengers from Kutaisi Airport. At this stage, the airline operates 60 flights per week.
