On Monday, July 8, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced that numerous buildings and structures built in violation of the law will be legalized.
This applies to constructions registered before January 1, 2021.
As he noted, for decades, illegal constructions were erected in Yerevan without the necessary permits and legal requirements.
"This remains a serious problem for both their owners and the Yerevan municipality," Avinyan said at a working meeting in the city municipality.
The mayor mentioned that the city administration is conducting extensive research and making decisions regarding the legalization of such constructions.
However, he clarified that not all illegal structures will be legalized. "The number of legalized constructions during this period will be significant," Avinyan added.
