"You need to tell us how to deal with the crisis, while you only talk about how everything will get better," - this is how tour guide Ia Gotsadze addressed the head of the National Tourism Administration, Maia Omiadze, during a meeting with the tourism sector, the purpose of which was to present the results and plans of the industry from the side of the Tourism Administration.

The tour guide noted at the meeting that the state agency is not talking about the real problems.

"These false illusions are understandable... I would understand your position at least a little if you had talked to us about real problems, but we see that you are justifying yourself again," - she noted, adding that the Tourism Administration does not consider the situation in the country to be a risk.

"The protests will continue, the sanctions will continue, the number of tourists will continue to decrease, you are not talking to us about this problem. You do not expect a decrease, but the reality is different. You don't even consider it a risk that the country is in such a situation," Ia Gotsadze noted.

Maia Omiadze said that the sector should work together to make 2025 a much better year for tourism.

The National Tourism Administration predicts 5.7 million international tourist arrivals in 2025 and an increase of 11%. In addition, according to their own forecast, revenues from international travel will increase by 7% and reach USD 4.7 billion.
