- We will have double-digit economic growth this year, - said the Minister of Finance, Lasha Khutsishvili after the government session.
"Foreign trade is one of the areas characterized by a rapid recovery in the economy. We have fairly stable growth in exports and imports. In addition, we have fairly stable growth in various economic parameters, both in terms of remittances and companies' turnover.
Last month's economic growth was 9.9%, while our 7-month economic growth is 12.2%, which is fully in line with the forecast we made a few months ago when we presented the basic draft of the budget change. In the baseline scenario, this growth was 7.7%, but we also have an optimistic scenario, which says that we will have double-digit economic growth in Georgia this year, 10.2%. Therefore, daily information and statistics that we have indicate a positive scenario in the development of Georgian economy, which means that this year we will have double-digit economic growth," - said Lasha Khutsishvili.
