A Three-Kilometer Bus Lane Has Been Drawn on Rustaveli Avenue

A special lane for buses has been drawn on Rustaveli Avenue for the convenient and fast movement of the public transport. The length of the so-called bus lane is three kilometers.

A 20-kilometer bus lane has been set up in the capital this year. In the same year, it is also planned to increase this figure to 60 kilometers, which is about half of the total transport corridor.

The lanes for smooth movement of the bus have already been drawn in Anjaparidze, Melikishvili, Kostava, Pushkin, Baratashvili, Aleksidze, Vekua, Khizanishvili, Iona Vakeli, Cholokashvili, Kalandadze, Kandelaki, Shartava and Vakhtang Gorgasali Streets. Also, in Chavchavadze, Pekini, Aghmashenebeli, Robakidze (partially) Avenues, and Baratashvili Ascent.

In the future, the bus lanes will be located at the following addresses: Politkovskaya, Kavtaradze, Tamarashvili, Abkhazi, Holbrook, Khmelnitsky, Javakheti, Chachava, Dadiani, Tsinamdzgvrishvili, Gagarin, Eristavi, Beliashvili, Balanchine, Mirian Mepe, Petritsi, and Archil Mepe Streets; Beri Gabriel Salosi, Queen Ketevan, Vazha-Pshavela, Moscow, Queen Tamar, Tsereteli, Gelovani, Robakidze (fully), Mepe Parnavaz and Guramishvili Avenues, as well as the Kakheti Highway.

This plan is under development and some changes may be introduced to it.
