“Maximum efforts are being made to resolve the numerous issues caused by this unprecedented heavy snowfall,” said GD Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a visit to Shroma village in the western Guria region.
Kobakhidze emphasized that all relevant services are mobilized and road-clearing operations are ongoing.
“Locals recall the last time they experienced such significant snowfall in the region was in 1972, which reflects the scale of this natural disaster.
Road-clearing efforts are in progress, with all relevant services mobilized and defence forces deployed since yesterday to ensure timely action. While challenges remain, our services are fully engaged,” he told reporters.
