Today, on March 21, a significant meeting occurred between prime minister Nikol Pashinyan and Chinese vice premier Zhang Guoqing in Brussels.

According to the press service of the Armenian prime minister's office, the focus of the discussion centered on matters concerning economic cooperation between Armenia and China, with an emphasis on the need for concerted efforts to enhance trade volume.

Additionally, the dialogue touched upon potential initiatives to unlock infrastructure in the South Caucasus region.

During the meeting, prime minister Pashinyan introduced the "Crossroads of Peace" project developed by the Armenian government, highlighting its importance for regional stability and prosperity.

Earlier, BMG reported that in late October 2023, Armenia presented the "Crossroads of Peace" project, which essentially is the Armenian version of a project aimed at unlocking communications in the region after the 44-day war. From Yerevan's point of view, this is one of the components of the process of establishing a durable peace in the South Caucasus, and if implemented, it could change Armenia's status, helping it to emerge from isolation and become a logistical hub in the region.
