Today, on March 21, a meeting took place in Brussels between the prime ministers of Armenia and Finland Nikol Pashinyan and Petteri Orpo.

According to the press service of the Armenian government, the meeting addressed issues of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The parties exchanged ideas on the prospects for expanding and deepening cooperation, as well as on the agenda of the comprehensive partnership between Armenia and the European Union.

Prime minister of Armenia presented the "Crossroads of Peace" project, developed by the government of the Republic of Armenia, as an important guarantee for ensuring economic interconnectedness and peace in the South Caucasus.

“The discussions also covered democratic reforms and programs implemented in Armenia in recent years aimed at strengthening democratic institutions,” the statement said.

Earlier, BMG reported that in late October 2023, Armenia presented the "Crossroads of Peace" project, which essentially is the Armenian version of a project aimed at unlocking communications in the region after the 44-day war. From Yerevan's point of view, this is one of the components of the process of establishing a durable peace in the South Caucasus, and if implemented, it could change Armenia's status, helping it to emerge from isolation and become a logistical hub in the region.
