On April 18, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Brice Roquefeuil, Head of the Directorate for Continental Europe of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, who also serves as the French Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group.

During the meeting, discussions centered on the ongoing development of cooperation between Armenia and France. Specifically, attention was drawn to the progress made in implementing joint programs in various sectors such as the economy, infrastructure development, and humanitarian initiatives.

The two officials also addressed regional matters of significance, including the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as efforts undertaken by the Armenian government to address the humanitarian challenges faced by individuals forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. Additionally, there was an exchange of views on Armenia's "Crossroads of Peace" project.

Furthermore, the meeting included discussions on cooperation between Armenia and the European Union.

Earlier, BMG reported that in late October 2023, Armenia presented the "Crossroads of Peace" project, which essentially is the Armenian version of a project aimed at unlocking communications in the region after the 44-day war. From Yerevan's point of view, this is one of the components of the process of establishing a durable peace in the South Caucasus, and if implemented, it could change Armenia's status, helping it to emerge from isolation and become a logistical hub in the region.
