Armenia and Hungary signed an agreement on economic cooperation

On May 6, during the visit of the Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to Budapest, Armenia and Hungary signed two agreements.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan and Péter Szijjártó from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary signed an agreement on economic cooperation between the governments of Armenia and Hungary, as well as an agreement on cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries for 2024-2025.

The agenda of the meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Hungary in an expanded format included both bilateral issues and cooperation issues within the framework of the EU, as well as regional topics.

In January-March 2024, the trade turnover between Armenia and Hungary decreased by 15% to $7.4 million. Meanwhile, in 2023, trade between the countries noticeably intensified. Last year, Armenian-Hungarian trade turnover increased by 22.4% to $31 million.
