From June 10 to 12, Yerevan will host the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State James O'Brien, who will visit to participate in a strategic dialogue. The visit, organized by the U.S. Department of State, is aimed at discussing key issues of bilateral relations and their further development.
During the dialogue, O'Brien plans to discuss the successes achieved in the cooperation between the two countries and outline ways to strengthen it further. The focus will be on important topics such as U.S. support for achieving a sustainable peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the use of the Almaty Declaration provisions for border delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
O'Brien will hold meetings with senior government officials of Armenia, business community representatives, and civil society members.
"These talks will be an important step towards further rapprochement between Armenia and the USA," the official statement reads.
