In April 2024, the number of income-generating jobs in Armenia reached 747,419.
The press service of the State Revenue Committee reported that this figure exceeds the data for the same month last year by 37,269 jobs (or 5.2%).
Earlier, BMG reported that the average monthly nominal wage for this period was 307,655 drams ($771), representing an increase of 8.1% compared to the same period of the previous year.
This growth is mainly attributed to an increase in wages in both the public and private sectors by 9.6% and 7.3%, respectively, according to the Telegram channel Economood.
It is worth noting that in March 2024, Armenia's consumer market experienced a 12-month deflation of 1.2%, with a month-on-month decrease of 0.2%.
