Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced the completion of the master plan for the Academic Campus—a large-scale project aimed at becoming an innovative hub for science and education in the country.

In a Facebook post, Pashinyan revealed key details of the project:

"Around 44,000 teachers, scientists, and students from Armenia and abroad, as well as 8 state and 8 international/private universities, will be housed on the 580-hectare campus, where modern 'green' technologies will be implemented," the Prime Minister wrote.

According to the information provided, the Academic Campus will not only serve as an educational and scientific center but will also play a significant role in the cultural and sports life of the country. Pashinyan emphasized that this science-education environment will also function as a national center for intellectual leisure and sports activities.

The project pays particular attention to environmental aspects. The introduction of modern "green" technologies on the campus underscores Armenia's commitment to sustainable development and environmental care.

The Prime Minister also mentioned that more detailed information about the Academic Campus project would be presented to the public in the near future. "Soon, there will be opportunities to present the details of the Academic Campus project for various occasions and in different formats," Pashinyan noted.

Earlier, BMG reported that on August 22, the Armenian government made the final decision on the location of the new Academic Campus in Yerevan. This large-scale educational project will be located on two key sites: in the 17th district of the capital and on land owned by the "Armenfilm" film studio.
