Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister discussed development programs in the country with the Deputy Secretary-General of the UN

On Tuesday, May 7th, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan met with the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) and the Director of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS Ivana Zhivkovich.

According to the government's press service, the meeting discussed the programs implemented by the UNDP in Armenia.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the UNDP for its support in meeting the basic needs of people who have been forced to leave Nagorno-Karabakh, emphasizing the importance of cooperation with development partners to address long-term challenges.

Joint programs on energy efficiency, digitalization, and reforms in public administration, as well as potential areas for further cooperation, were also mentioned.

In the development of a new national program document by the UNDP, both sides emphasized the importance of identifying priority areas for joint work.
