In 3Q2022, the average monthly nominal earnings in Georgia increased by 16.5% (GEL 226.5) compared to the same quarter of the previous year and amounted to GEL 1,595, - according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
According to the economic activity the highest monthly earnings were observed in the following fields:
• Information and communication – GEL 3 330.4 (increased by 51.8 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year)
• Financial and insurance activities – GEL 2 474.7 (increased by 10.7 percent)
• Construction – GEL 2 304.9 (increased by 15.1 percent)
• Professional, scientific and technical activities – GEL 2 229.1 (increased by 11.3 percent)
In 3Q2022, the average earnings equaled to 1 265.6 Gel for women, while GEL 1 904.8 for men. The annual growth of earnings amounted to GEL 159.2 (14.4%) for women and GEL 292.7 (18.2%) for men. In most sectors of economy, the average monthly earnings of men were higher
than women’s.
