The Georgian Business Association (BAG) calls on the authorities to take active steps in the direction of "the Third Party Liability Insurance" (TPL). As the association notes, this is important for the state, as well as for the private sector and the security of the citizens.

According to BAG, third-party liability insurance should be mandatory, and the association works quite actively with government representatives on this issue. It is significant that the introduction of the mentioned standard in Georgia is one of the obligations of the Association Agreement with the European Union, which the government must fulfill effectively and promptly.

"With the timely introduction of the mentioned law, the state will help to create new jobs, which in turn will have a positive impact on the employment indicators in the country. Also, the implementation of the TPL is important in terms of improving the business climate and investment environment, as the aforementioned provides a sense of stability and security.

The Georgian Business Association hopes that the government will adopt the third-party liability insurance law by the end of the year, since the protection of our citizens, the creation of new jobs and the improvement of the business climate are important for the further sustainable economic development of our country", - BAG notes in the statement.
