During the January-August of 2022, cargo volume carried by air in Georgia, at Tbilisi International Airport, was 11 788 873 ton which is 2% increase compared to the same period of the previous year and 27% decrease compared to the same period of 2019 year, according to TAV Georgia.
During the January-August of 2021, 11 502 897 ton cargo went through the Tbilisi International Airport, during the same period of 2020 year - 11 009 001 ton and 16 139 060 ton in 2019.
TAV Georgia is a subsidiary of TAV Airports Holding. The company is operating in Georgia since 2005. Under the current contract, the TAV Georgia will continue operating until 2027. Currently, Tav Georgia employs 1300 persons.
