Tbilisi Vice-Mayor Irakli Khmaladze says that Tbilisi Hall plans to mobilize GEL 17 million more from increased cleaning tariffs for businesses.
As Khmaladze explains, City Hall is not obliged to constantly subsidize profitable businesses. In addition, according to the Vice-Mayor, the increased tax will be spent on the salaries of Tbilservice employees, equipment upgrades and other issues.
"Every organization has different payments and the monthly fee can be increased by 20 GEL. Overall, the debt owed to the business sector will increase by GEL 17 million. Until now, the municipality has been subsidizing this amount and we do not consider it right to constantly subsidize profitable businesses,” said Irakli Khmaladze.
