Young people in Georgia aged 18 to 30 will soon have access to the “European Youth Card,” which offers more than 25,000 discounts in 40 European countries. The initiative was officially presented by Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.
Kaladze said the new program is part of the municipality’s broader efforts to support youth in education, employment, and cultural engagement.
“The European Youth Card will be available from this fall and will unite Georgian young people with 10 million cardholders across Europe,” – the mayor noted, adding that the goal is to increase access to mobility, accommodation, culture, and entertainment services.
According to City Hall, cardholders will benefit from discounted services in education, travel, sports, and leisure, as well as opportunities to participate in European projects, raffles, and online activities. A dedicated website and mobile app have already been launched to provide detailed information on discounts and usage.
The project is being implemented in partnership with the European Youth Card Association, with Tbilisi City Hall as the exclusive partner in Georgia. Through cooperation with the Bank of Georgia, card services will be integrated into mobile banking.
The presentation was attended by Minister of Culture Tinatin Rukhadze, Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze, Vice-Mayor Giorgi Tkemaladze, City Council Chairman Zurab Abashidze, and other officials, alongside youth representatives.
