According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, the discussion also covered mechanisms for knowledge sharing and financing opportunities available to farmers. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation and improving support systems for agricultural producers.
Deputy Minister Lasha Dolidze said the sides agreed to continue cooperation within specific projects aimed at improving the financing system, strengthening monitoring and creating more effective knowledge-sharing schemes for farmers.
During the meeting, farmers also received detailed information about the new irrigation water tariff set by the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission, as well as recent changes to the irrigation water subsidy mechanism.
