Forbes has updated its billionaires index and reduced Bidzina Ivanishvili’s wealth to $2.7 billion. His fortune was previously estimated at $4.9 billion in 2024, which ranked him at 1,299th place in the list. The explanation does not indicate what caused such a sharp decrease in the assessment of Ivanishvili’s wealth.
However, the assessment of Ivanishvili’s wealth in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index remains unchanged, where his wealth is estimated at $7.35 billion and he occupies 421st place. Accordingly, the difference between these two indicators is $4.65 billion. In addition, in the current year’s ranking, he is referred to as Bidzina Ivanishvili and his family, which means that Forbes also took into account the assets belonging to Ivanishvili’s wife or children when assessing his assets.
