The Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia has approved Gazprom Armenia's investment program for 2025–2029. Initially proposed at $365.5 million (excluding VAT), the investment amount was adjusted by the regulator to $363 million after a detailed review of the program.
According to the plan approved on December 25, the primary focuses of the investment program include expanding the underground gas storage facility in Abovyan, restoring and reconstructing the gas transportation infrastructure, connecting new subscribers, and making other investments in the gas distribution system.
Gazprom Armenia, a subsidiary of Russia’s Gazprom and the country’s sole gas supplier, manages the entire natural gas supply chain, from transportation to storage and distribution. The company imports Russian gas through Georgia at a price of $165 per 1,000 cubic meters at the border.
