In 2025, Georgia generated 217 million GEL in budget revenue from state property privatization, fulfilling 102% of the annual plan, according to the Ministry of Economy. Deputy Minister Nino Enukidze stated that more than 500 properties were sold through over 800 announced auctions, allowing the government to fully meet its privatization target.
Enukidze emphasized that the National Agency of State Property continues to manage the privatization process successfully, ensuring it remains transparent and accessible to all. She added that the government expects to repeat this success in 2026 and again exceed revenue targets.
The most expensive asset sold in 2025 was the State Property Agency’s own office on Chavchavadze Avenue - a 9,200 m² building purchased by IG Development for 35.8 million GEL. Most of the payment will be transferred once the agency vacates the premises. The second most expensive sale was the former Children’s Infectious Diseases Hospital in Tbilisi, bought by Kostava Towers, a company linked to Wissol Group, for 28.2 million GEL.
In addition to central government sales, municipalities and state-owned companies also sold assets worth millions. The reported 217 million GEL reflects only the central government’s privatization income.
