Between January and September 2025, Georgia imported 56,807 tons of salt worth USD 5.7 million, marking a 25% increase in both volume and value compared to the same period last year, according to official trade data.

Turkey remains Georgia’s largest salt supplier, accounting for more than half of the total importing volume. Iran and Azerbaijan follow as key partners, while smaller quantities are imported from Russia and Kazakhstan.
