Georgia's air conditioner imports continued to grow in the first half of 2026. According to official foreign trade data, the country imported air conditioners worth $53.1 million in January–June, up about 2% year-on-year from $51.1 million in the same period of 2025.
China remained by far Georgia's largest supplier, accounting for $36.5 million, or roughly 69% of total imports. It was followed by Turkey ($6.1 million), Singapore ($4.8 million), Hong Kong ($2.1 million), and Poland ($1 million).
Smaller import volumes came from Italy ($554,000), Germany ($439,000), Thailand ($354,000), Japan ($131,000), and Bulgaria ($115,000).
The data also show a strong long-term growth trend. Georgia's air conditioner imports increased from $26.5 million in 2021 to a record $80 million in 2024. Although imports eased slightly to $78.6 million in 2025, the first-half 2026 figures indicate that demand remains on an upward trajectory.
