The Georgian government has increased the property threshold for D5 immigration visas. Foreigners must now own real estate in Georgia valued at over $150,000 (previously $100,000) to qualify.
The visa applies to the applicant, their spouse, and children. Property valuation must be conducted by a certified appraiser accredited by the National Accreditation Center.
The D5 visa is issued for 1 year, and holders must demonstrate sufficient financial means for each month of stay.
The regulation is effective from March 1, 2026, and applies to all relevant legal relationships arising from that date.
