State-owned Georgian Amelioration has announced five electronic tenders worth more than GEL 37.5 million to rehabilitate irrigation infrastructure across several regions of the country. According to the State Procurement Agency, the projects cover the Khrami Canal, Lower Samgori, Lower Alazani, and Lomtagora irrigation systems, with financing to be provided in stages from the 2026–2030 state budgets.
The largest tender, valued at GEL 12.51 million, covers the second phase of rehabilitation works on a section of the Khrami Canal main irrigation channel. Bids will be accepted between August 14 and 19, while the project has an implementation period of 1,034 calendar days. A second GEL 8.54 million tender also targets the Khrami Canal system, including rehabilitation of key canal sections and the construction of two new road bridges and an emergency aqueduct spillway.
Another tender worth GEL 7.94 million provides for the rehabilitation of the G-22 distributor and its secondary and tertiary distribution channels within the Lower Samgori irrigation system. Meanwhile, a GEL 6.20 million project will restore hydraulic structures along the Lower Alazani irrigation system in the municipalities of Signagi and Dedoplistskaro, with bidding scheduled for August 20–25.
In addition, Georgian Amelioration has launched a GEL 2.28 million tender to rehabilitate the Lomtagora main irrigation canal in Marneuli Municipality. According to the tender documentation, the combined estimated value of all five projects amounts to GEL 37.48 million, aimed at improving irrigation infrastructure and supporting agricultural water supply across the country.
