With the financial and organizational support of Georgia’s National Wine Agency, Georgian wine was promoted through various events in 16 countries during the second quarter of 2026, the agency said.
According to the agency, Georgian wine was showcased at 11 international exhibitions and festivals across eight countries: Japan, Italy, Slovenia, Greece, the United States, Austria, the United Kingdom, and Belarus.
In addition, nearly 80 wine presentations and tastings were held in 10 countries, including Germany, Australia, the United States, Turkey, Norway, France, Belgium, Switzerland, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.
Domestically, the agency supported 15 promotional events under the state program for Georgian wine, including masterclasses, exhibitions, festivals, competitions, and forums.
During the reporting period, Georgia also hosted nine wine tours for international wine professionals, trade representatives, and foreign media. Around 200 Georgian wineries and wine companies participated in promotional activities both in Georgia and abroad.
The agency also continued cooperation with international media outlets, including Gambero Rosso TV, SOMM TV, New York Post, SevenFifty Daily, VinePair, and Grapefriend, to increase global awareness of Georgian wine.
The National Wine Agency identified the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, China, South Korea, and Japan as its priority export markets. It also noted that May 8 is officially recognized as Georgia’s National Wine Day, established to promote Georgian wine as a symbol of the country’s cultural heritage and identity.
