GeoStat has published preliminary foreign trade data for 2025, indicating that Georgia’s exports increased by 11.2% to $7.3 billion last year. In December alone, exports grew by 22.5%, totaling $673 million.
For now, the data is not yet presented in a detailed form. GeoStat will publish the full breakdown on January 20, at which point it will become clear which export goods recorded growth.
As for imports, they totaled $18.5 billion, representing a 9.7% year-over-year increase. In December, imports stood at $1.84 billion, which is 8.5% higher than the same month of the previous year.
Georgia’s trade deficit totaled $11.2 billion in 2025, accounting for 43.5% of the country’s foreign trade turnover. For comparison, in 2024 the trade deficit accounted for 44% of total turnover.
