A meeting between Armenia's Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and representatives from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) was held to discuss a new project aimed at sustainable water resource and wastewater management to support the development of Armenian communities.
Madeleine Rauschenberger, head of GIZ's Armenian office, presented the details of the program, which will serve as a logical continuation of the "EU for Sevan" project. Funded by Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the initiative is set to launch at the end of 2025 with a planned duration of three years.
Deputy Minister Vache Terteryan emphasized the importance of aligning the program with the conceptual approaches of Armenia's national water strategy. He also stressed the need for prior consultations with communities identified by the Water Committee. Both sides agreed to conduct more detailed discussions in two weeks.
