The Central Bank of Armenia projects the country’s economic growth to slow from approximately 6% in 2024 to 5% in 2025. This forecast was shared by Central Bank Governor Martin Galstyan during a press conference on December 10.
According to Galstyan, economic growth this year is expected to reach around 6%, or slightly below that figure. For 2025, the Central Bank anticipates growth to align more closely with the country’s potential economic level, estimated at around 5%. However, the exact rate will depend on the realization of various development scenarios.
"Under Inflation Scenario A, growth will be higher, while under Scenario B, it will be lower," Galstyan explained, adding that a "solid growth" rate is anticipated for the country’s economy in 2025.
Earlier, BMG reported that Armenia’s Finance Minister Vahe Hovannisyan projected GDP growth of approximately 6% by the end of 2024. Meanwhile, the 2024 state budget outlines a target growth rate of 7%. For the 2025 budget, economic growth is set at 5.6%.
