According to a new review by Galt & Taggart, revenues in Georgia’s household appliance sector have remained flat for the past three years, largely due to declining prices. In 2025, the sector generated USD 718 million, of which only USD 22 million came from local production and USD 696 million from imports. Moderate growth is expected in 2026.

China is the leading source of household appliance imports, accounting for 44.3% of the total. It is followed by Turkey (21.3%), Italy (6.4%), Germany (3.5%), and Ukraine (2.5%). By product category, heating and cooling systems make up the largest share of imports (24.5%), followed by refrigerators (16%), televisions (11.4%), washing machines (8.6%), ovens (8.2%), and other appliances (31.4%).

The report also covers the furniture and lighting market, which generated USD 519 million in revenue in 2025. Of this, USD 111 million came from local production, while USD 408 million was import-driven. Turkey (30.3%) and China (29.5%) remain the dominant suppliers in this segment.

Galt & Taggart notes that prices for furniture and lighting products have also been declining in recent years, which has weighed on revenue growth. Nonetheless, both sectors are expected to see moderate improvement in 2026.
