The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Genadi Arveladze declares, that six companies have benefited from this agreement since the launch of diagonal cumulation agreement.
"As for the diagonal cumulation, Georgia has already started using this agreement. Six companies have already benefited, and most of them were textile companies, which expected this agreement to enter into force as soon as possible. Because the raw materials are imported mainly from Turkey, which are processed in Georgia and then exported to the European Union," Arveladze declared in the parliament.
Late last year, the principle of diagonal cumulation was introduced between Georgia, the EU and Turkey. Consequently, it became possible to export Georgian products to the EU market with the principles of a free trade agreement (excluding taxes and barriers).
