Georgian Civil Aviation Agency reports, that 1,761 flights are planned to be performed between Georgia and the Russian Federation during the active summer navigation season of this year.
A total of 13,600 flights are planned for the summer navigation season (June-October), of which the share of flights with Russia is 13%. For comparison, flights to Europe make up 18% of the total plan, while the so-called the share of Gulf countries is 17%.
Three airlines fly to Russia. Two of them are Russian Azimuth and Red Wings. Georgian air company 'Georgian Airways" also flies to Russia.
The Civil Aviation Agency notes that flights between Georgia and the Russian Federation are operated only by airlines that are not put in the EU blacklist.
