In 2022, the turnover of registered enterprises of meat and meat products in Georgia amounted to GEL 395 million, of which 59% accounted for the meat sale, while 41% - for eggs.
Namely, last year the income from meat sales amounted to GEL 232 million, while the figure stood at GEL 162 million from the sale of eggs, this amount has significantly increased compared to previous years, for example, in 2014, the amount received from the sale of eggs was GEL 81 million, and from the sale of meat GEL 64 million.
As for the revenues of large meat and poultry producer enterprises - 13% of the total revenues accounts for "Chirina", 8% from "Kumisi", 6% - "Dila" and "Noste", 4% is occupied by "Kvareli", Baga", "Ashendi" and "Savaneti", the remaining 48% comes from small enterprises.
Over 250 active enterprises are registered in Georgia, of which only 20 are large and medium-sized companies, most of which produce poultry meat and eggs.
