In March, the number of jobs in Armenia increased by 5%

According to the data from the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, the number of income-generating jobs demonstrated an increase in March 2024.

According to the report submitted by taxpayers on income tax and social payments, 741,610 income-generating jobs were recorded, which is 35,316 or 5% more than in the same period last year.

Earlier, BMG reported that both salaries and the number of registered employees increased in Armenia in February 2024. This salary growth occurs against the backdrop of deflation in the country.

The number of registered employees in February reached 733,000, an increase of 5% compared to the same period last year.

According to the data published by the Statistical Committee, the average monthly nominal wage in February 2024 was 273,000 drams (about $690), which is 9.3% higher than in the same period of the previous year.
